Wow.  I am a huge fan of Dandi Daley Mackall and she does not disappoint with this new murder mystery.  It's very different from anything she's written before and I was constantly on the edge of my seat.  From the very first page, Hope has us nervous for the outcome of her special brother, Jeremy.
There is no foul language in this book although Hope's mother does call her a few less-than-kind names.  There are a few subtle sexual references.  Mostly, Hope remembers times when her mother, Rita, had 'guests' over for the night.  These references add to the background of Rita and Hope but not necessarily to the overall story and I wish they had been left out.
The subject of murder is handled with care.  Obviously, some detail had to be given considering it is a mystery, but nothing is graphically explained.  Overall, this is a fascinating story that I really enjoyed.  Check it out!

Happy reading!
